DIGIS has launched the Scholarship Program to draw attention of American juniors to the interesting world of software engineering. We are proud of being committed to bringing IT technologies to our everyday life and to building the software that helps us and empowers us to become better, more successful, and more human. All this cannot be implemented without true professionals and movers and shakers of the IT evolution. With our Program, we want to find such passionarians among American students who are finishing their high school studies or starting their college or university academic programs. Although the winner is going to be only one, we are sure that the remaining participants will be enriched as well. They will learn how to cope with real-life challenges most software developers face when applying for a new project; they will also discover how to collect proofs of their skills and present them properly.
Moreover, the best 5 applicants will get another opportunity: DIGIS will arrange the interview for them with possible future internship at DIGIS.
DIGIS sees its Scholarship Program as a source of the grant for high school students, which can be both high school undergraduate students or graduate students who want to delve into Computer Sciences or Software Engineering after the school. The winner, if a high school student, can get scholarship for college, i.e. use the money to pay, at least partially, for the college study.
Our Program can also serve as a supplement to any scholarship program for college students, who attend the profile academic courses. We know how difficult it can be to find grants for college students. And our Scholarship Program can help them get what they want and need.
The winner will get 1000-dollar scholarship and will be able to spend this money on education, new projects or anything else. The scholarship award imposes no obligations on the winner except for a must to remain passionate about the Information Technologies, Computer Sciences, and Software Development.
The DIGIS Scholarship Program will start on 23.07.2019 and last till 23.07.2020. The winner will be announced on this page within 1 month after the Program’s end.
Candidates must write clear and concise essay where they need to explain why they have decided to choose the IT specialization (Computer Science, Technology and/or Applied Mathematics) as their major and what they want to change in the world via the use of IT technologies. Volume of the work is not limited but it should be at least 1500 words.
The applicants and their essays will be reviewed and assessed by the dedicated Review Board consisting of DIGIS’ CEO and two technical experts. The assessment procedure will be as objective and unbiased as possible, and the final decision will be made based on real strengths and abilities of the applicants. DIGIS provides equal chances to everybody!
